Christmas Tree Brownies

Looking for a way to impress your family this Christmas then you might want to give my Christmas tree brownies a go they taste amazing and are so easy to create yourself.

Prep Time: 30 Mins

Cook Time: 25 – 30 mins

Portions: 8 Brownies (and extra cut offs to snack on)

Ingredients

  • 200g Dark Chocolate
  • 200g Unsalted Butter
  • 4 Eggs
  • 270g Caster Sugar
  • 90g Plain Flour
  • 35g Cocoa Powder
  • Tin of Caramel
  • Candy Canes
  • Green Butter Cream
  • Sprinkles

Method

  • First you will need to pre heat your oven to 160c and prepare your brownie tin
  • Now that is done you need to melt your dark chocolate and butter together. Whiles you are doing this take your eggs and sugar and whisk together until it has doubled in size and is light and fluffy. This will take some time so I recommend you use an electric whisk, unless you are feeling strong
  • Now you butter and chocolate is melted pour this slowly into your egg mix and fold in gently
  • You can now take your flour and coca powder and mix together until combined. Now take your flour mix and again gently fold this into your mix
  • Now you have a lovely chocolate mix you can now pour into your tin and top with large teaspoons of caramel
  • You can now cook for approximately 25 mins until the top is set but still gooey in the middle
  • Now your brownies are cooked let them cool completely before you decorate and cut them
  • You can now make them into Christmas trees
  • Take a piece of card and cut into a triangle so you can use this as a template for your brownies. Fist cut your brownie into 4 then use your template to cut out your triangle that will be your Christmas tree. See photos below
  • You can now start to decorate your brownies. Take your green icing and pipe across to create a Christmas tree effect then sprinkle with your xmas style sprinkles, then take your candy cane and brake a small amount off to use at the bottom of your brownie as a base
  • Now enjoy and Merry Christmas!
