Chocolate and Orange Oat Biscuits

Looking for a new recipe to try out? Well give this a go, they are so easy to make and so tasty. The oats also add a great texture to your sweet treat.

Cooking Time: 12 Mins

Portions: Approximately 10 Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 75g Butter
  • 1 TBSP Golden Syrup
  • 2 TBSP Milk (any of your choose)
  • 75g Plain Flour
  • 1 TSP Baking Powder
  • 75g Porridge Oats
  • 1 TSP Orange Extract/ Flavouring
  • Dark Chocolate 50g – 100g

Equipment you will need

  • Large Bowl and Spatula
  • Baking Tray and Grease Proof Paper
  • Small/ Medium Sized Bowl

Method

  1. First you need to preheat your oven to 180c/ Gas Mark 4 and get your baking tray ready by lining it with your grease proof paper
  2. Now in your medium size bowl take your butter, golden syrup and milk and heat in a microwave until your butter is completely melted and put to one side
  3. Ok, now take your large bowl and add in your flour, oats and baking powder then add your melted butter mix and orange extract and mix together until combined
  4. Now take your baking tray and spoon about a table spoon of mix at a time until you have no more mixture left, this should make about 10 biscuits
  5. Now bake for approximately 10 mins until golden brown then leave to cool
  6. Now your biscuits are cool you can melt your chocolate and dip half of your biscuit into the melted chocolate then leave to set and enjoy
